Player Awards for 2026 Junior Royals Announced

The Junior Royals handed out the hardware on July 21 at Springwood Park.  Coach Jerry Gurr presented the annual awards:

Tyler Phillips Memorial Award
Description: The Tyler Phillips Memorial Award is presented to the outstanding first year player.
Awarded to: Jack McConnell
North Island Junior Royals Baseball Club 2026

General Manager's Development Award
Description: The General Manager's Development Award is awarded to the player judged to have improved his game the most over their time with the Royals program.
Awarded to: Marcus Nygren

Coach's Award for Commitment to Royals Philosophy
Description: The Coach's Award for Commitment to Royals Philosophy is awarded to the player who embodies the Royals philosophy of hard work, a team-first attitude, and a willingness to work both on & off the field for the betterment of the Royals program.
